WEP has collaborated variously with several International Organizations, Bilateral donors, International NGOs and Foundations as well as National and State governments. It has also carried out activities for governmental agencies. The following are links to some of our partners:

MISEREOR

was founded in 1958 as an agency "against hunger and disease in the world". In its capacity as the overseas development agency of the Catholic Church in Germany, it offers to cooperate in a spirit of partnership with all people of goodwill to promote development, fight worldwide poverty, liberate people from injustice, exercise solidarity with the poor and the persecuted, and help create "One World".

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme UN-HABITAT
, is the United Nations agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.

 

The European Commission

The EC Is the executive branch of the European Union. The body is responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the Union's treaties and the general day-to-day running of the Union.

 

Global Greengrants Fund

Bridging the gap between those who can offer financial support and grassroots groups in developing countries that can make effective use of that support. GGF helps donors overcome the barriers to grassroots grant making by identifying worthy organizations and moving funds at minimal cost.

 
 

Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung

offers political education, conducts scientific fact-finding research for political projects, grants scholarships to gifted individuals, researches the history of Christian Democracy, and supports and encourages European unification, international understanding, and development-policy cooperation.  Around the world, our offices abroad look after more than 200 projects in more than 120 countries. The name and the principles of Konrad Adenauer are a precept, a mission, and an obligation.

 

GLOBAL RIGHTS

is a human rights advocacy group that partners with local activists to challenge injustice and amplify new voices within the global discourse. With offices in countries around the world, Global Rights helps local activists create just societies through proven strategies for effecting change.
In all of our programs, Global Rights emphasizes promoting women's human rights and combating discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity or sexual orientation.

 





The Joint Donor Basket Fund

WEP implemented a project on Gender Monitoring and Action in the build-up to the 2007 General Elections with the funding support of the Joint Donor Basket Fund. The JDBF to support Nigeria’s 2007 Elections was set up with financial support from the European Union (EU), British Department for International Development (DFID), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and UNDP.

 
Irish Aid

is the Government of Ireland’s programme of assistance to developing countries. Ireland’s development cooperation policy is an integral part of Ireland’s wider foreign policy. The aid philosophy is rooted in the Country’s foreign policy, in particular its objectives of peace and justice. The development cooperation policy and programme reflect a longstanding commitment to human rights and fairness in international relations and are inseparable from Irish foreign policy as a whole.
 

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs

The Ministry of Women Affairs win Nigeria seeks to build a Nigerian society devoid of gender discrimination, guarantees equal access to wealth creation opportunities, develops a culture that places premium on the protection of the child, and focuses attention of both public and private sector on issues that promote full participation of women and children in the national development process
