WELCOME!!!
This website intends to serve as a useful resource and reservoir of news and information for our partners, collaborators and stakeholders.
We have made tremendous progress in the drive to contribute our quota to the development of Nigeria, and more particularly in the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) pledged by the United Nations. The gains of the refocusing process are immediate in coming as WEP had an interrelated multi-disciplinary programme of activities. The activities that have brought to the fore include research, documentation, capacity building for women in politics, micro financing, exchange visits, advocacy, information sharing and as well as specialized trainings and workshops all geared towards bringing to fruition our vision of a Nigeria where the environmental, economic, social and political rights of women and children are protected.
It is worthy to mention and commend the solidarity in the WEP family upon which the strength of the Organization lies. The progress has been possible because of the commitment and team spirit of the WEP family in the various states, and the extent of collaboration, cooperation and commitment derived from our development partners is quite commendable without which our dream of bringing changes to the lives of women and children perhaps wouldn’t have been accomplished.
We hope to continue in this manner to make our findings and work available to our audience spread all around locally, nationally and internationally, especially through this medium. We have also continued to acquire considerable experience in our areas of core competence and it is our prayer to continue in this stead in the years to come.
