GEORGE AKOR
"What we do in life echoes in Eternity". This quote, one of his favourites, from the movie GLADIATOR defines the life and work ethos of George Akor, Senior Programme Manager of Women Environmental Programme (WEP). Born on the 14th of May in the 1970's, George had his elementary school education in Benue State before proceeding to the University of Ibadan, Nigeria's premier university, to study Philosophy and the History of Dialectics. He also holds a postgraduate diploma from the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands. George had a brief stint as part time lecturer in the Department of Religion and Philosophy of the Benue State University Makurdi. In his repository of experience include spells in professional construction work, social communication work with the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja and the International Conference of AIDS/ STIs in Africa (ICASA). Since 2004 he has been in the NGO development sector in Nigeria where he has gathered considerable experience on issues of sustainable development in Nigeria with a local and grassroots perspective, with a special focus on issues of gender, environment, sustainable livelihoods and settlement development in urban slums.

George has a lively and boisterous personality. His hobbies include astronomy, reading, adventure and epic movies, photography and coin collection. He is married to Bernadette Iveren Akor and they live in Abuja, Nigeria's new federal capital city.

JULIE AGEMA
Ms Agema Avershima Juliana was born on the 15th February in the 70's, in Lagos, hails from Konshisha Local Government Area in Benue state. Ms Agema is a B.Sc. degree holder in Business Administration from the largest university, in Sub-Saharan Africa, Ahmadu Bello University Zaira. She started her working career experience with Union Bank of Nigeria in Kwara State as a note counter and telegraphic transfer officer in 2000. 

Since she has flair for making people happy, Julie moved to Abuja in 2003 to work with Concept Amadeus Ltd as a Marketing Officer in charge of Marketing of the company's image, sourcing of Corporate Gifts for Clients and Developing Ideas for Event Managing.

As a young and talented lady growing up and still not satisfied with her person and wanted to impact more on humanity, she took an opportunity that came to her to serve and join a fast growing NGO Women Environmental Programme (WEP) to date as the Accounts Officer were her duties are conduct all banking transactions on behalf of the organisation as well as collect bank statements and carry out reconciliation, analyze and review budgets and expenditures for projects funding grants, interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits, prepare financial accounting reports to all donor agencies and partners as at when due, resolve accounting discrepancies, preparation and payment of staff salary, other allowances to member of staff, liaise with program staff in proposal writing and provision of logistic support for training, workshop & seminars.

Ms. Agema's life objective is to work where her professional skills and intellectual attributes can be utilized, efforts rewarded and the place highly suitable for professional development also to be creative, innovative and adding value to humanity. She is a noticeable character that makes somebody very appealing, also a transparent quality of existing as a person

In all her busy schedules, she still find time to watch handball, tennis, football, listen to music, watch movies, collection of coins, traveling and making friends that will improved her life positively.

ABU WEALTH SADIQ
Mr. Abu Wealth Sadiq was born on the 8th of June in the early 70's. He is from Edo State. Mr. Sadiq Wealth Imobiye is a graduate of Accountancy from University of Benin, Benin city Edo State. He started his working carrier as a teacher in Golden Touch High School Benin, Benin City. Where he later became the bursar of the school in 2003-2006 He has also work with Baba Group of Companies as an accountant in 2006/2007. He has also worked at Uyi Technical Company Nig. Ltd as an accountant.

Mr. Sadiq is a talented young man who has the passion for humanity and as such, when the opportunity came to serve humanity, he transferred his service in January 2008 to non-governmental organisation (Women Enhancement Organisation), cementing his desire to fight for the right of womanhood and give them the reason to have a voice in the society in general between 2008 and 2010. He served here as an accountant.

He moved to join the team of Women Environmental Programme (WEP) in April 2010. With the aim of building, setting up good accounting system for easy accessing and also to create a good relationship with the banks, partners and the donors. As well as to working to ensure the effect and efficient operations of the organization, His motto is to "Seeking a position where extensive human right will be developed and utilized"

Mr. Sadiq's specific objectives are to obtain the very best from its Employees and consequently recognizing and rewards Products and to manage Business efficiently and effectively, also to be creative and innovative, seeking to raise standard anywhere he finds himself, and to be role model in society, adhering strictly to set standard and principles.

His hobbies include reading, listing to music, playing football watching T.V and hanging out.

QUEENSLEY ONORODE AJUYAKPE
Born on the 25th of July 1983, Ms. Queensley Onorode Ajuyakpe hails from Jesse in Delta State of Nigeria. Queensley is a graduate of Human Resource Management from Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna State. She started her working career when undergoing an Industrial Attachment programme with the Head Office of the Nigerian Agricultural, Cooperative & Rural Development Bank Ltd where she was attached to the Finance and Accounts Directorate in 2005/2006. She has worked as a Research Assistant/Project Manager with Alexandra Scacco a PhD student from Columbia University, New York, USA in conducting research on Peace and Conflict in Kaduna and Jos, Northern part of Nigeria between 2007 and 2008. She also served with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria under the Nigerian Youth Service Corps between 2008/2009 after completing her graduate programme where she worked under the Servicom Department to ensure quality service delivery at the Airport. Her desire for higher challenges took her to the banking sector where she served as a Branch Manager with Continental Heirs Network Ltd in 2009.

Due to her passion to impact on humanity and experience in conducting research into peace and conflict overtime, took her into developmental work in February 2010 to work with a non-governmental organisation Women Environmental Programme (WEP)  working on creating a society where the environmental, economic, social and political rights of women and youths are protected within Nigeria. Working as a Human Resource Officer with WEP as it is fondly called, my responsibilities include sourcing and placement of staff, staff welfare, creating an enabling environment within the organisation, organising programs/projects as assigned, writing and submission of project proposals to partners and donors as she sometimes does function as a Programme Officer, as well as working as a team to ensure effective and efficient operations of the organisation. Her motto is "to impact positively to the society by being selfless, proactive and dedicated in all that she do to the betterment of all irrespective of our differences".

Ms. Queensley's specific objective is to be a human development practitioner that focuses on developmental programmes aimed at impacting on the livelihood of people and giving them a voice with a strong drive for results. She likes challenges, possesses excellent interpersonal relationship, highly motivated with strong flair to work and break new grounds for greater achievement for the society at large. She is open to learning to improve her capacity.

Her hobbies include researching, reading, travelling, meeting people, jogging and listening to music

Mr Frank Yawon
He hails from Gwer local government area of Benue State. He was born on the 14th day of April 1982 in makurdi, Benue State and followed his parents down to Abuja four years later. Since then, Mr. Frank has lived virtually all his life in the city of Abuja. He holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental and Resource management from the University of Calabar and a Post Graduate Diploma from the famous Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

He joined Women Environmental Programme (WEP) as a volunteer upon his graduation from the university in 2006 and rose to the position of a Programme Officer at the Head Office overseeing programmes on Climate Change and Natural Disaster Management.

Mr. Yawon speaks Tiv, English and German languages. He is widely traveled and an easy going person who loves networking and making friends. The drive to impact positively on humanity keeps him going.
DESMOND CHIESHE
Desmond Chieshe T. (Mr.) was born on 15th December. He is from Vandeikya Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. Desmond holds a Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Management from College of Agriculture Yandev, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management from Benue State University Makurdi, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Land Development Strategies and the Future of Cities from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies, Erasmus University, Rotterdam the Netherlands. He has been a very passionate advocate for Sustainable Human Settlement Development for more than Seven (7) years. He head Environment Thematic Project of Human Settlement in Urban Slums of Women Environmental Programme (WEP) since 2004 to date. He has participated in series of trainings both within Nigeria and outside the country. He also led members of Slum Dwellers, Traditional Leaders, Government Officials and members of the Press in Nigeria on exchange programme to Ghana twice (2007 & 2008) and Kenya in 2009 He participated in study tour sponsored by Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) the Netherlands to Demark and LUND University Sweden on Housing and Human Settlement Development.

AYAKPAM JOSEPHINE WINIFRED's PROFILE
Ms Ayakpam Josephine Winifred (native of Tiv) was born on the 24th August in the late 70's, hails from Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State. Ms Josephine is a Diploma holder in Accountancy and currently an undergraduate of the University of Abuja in the FCT where she is studying accounting. She started her working career with Bredero Construction Company as an accounts officer II in the year 2008.  

She has the following skills: Ability to work under pressure, Ability to interact with others with diplomacy, Oneness and, Accuracy and Speed, Sincerity and Punctuality and Work to deliver, put simply, a goal getter.

Miss Josephine, first in a family of three children is principled, peaceful, has carriage, has confidence in herself, not proud, not lousy, loves to make people laugh and respects other people's views, she is generally positive about life. She is currently an undergraduate of University of Abuja where she is studying Accountancy. She has started her working carrier (which she combines with schooling) as an Accounts Officer in a Non-Governmental Organization-Women Environmental Programme (WEP).

Her objectives include: To give back to the society what has been given in the development of life, to build interpersonal relationship within and outside the organization, to build creative and innovative ideas for the growth of the organization, to network with other industrial bodies in the improvement of the economy.

Her interest is in making and keeping friends, giving alms, Tourism, sports, reading and music.
ANNUM JAMES
graduated from Benue state University Makurdi with a B.sc Degree in Sociology and Anthropology. Currently I am working with Women Environmental Programme a non-governmental organization based in Abuja as an assistant programme officer. My schedule of duties include, conducting research and findings, monitoring and evaluations on issues that are of concern and importance to the organizations. Also write proposals and reports, document files, attend meetings, draft minutes and assist in routine letters and administrative work with logistic arrangements during workshops.

Previously I worked with Mexico Nigeria Limited Makurdi as a distribution manager, and was charged with the responsibilities of discharging and monitoring of the company's products to clients, inspection of sub-distribution inspectors at various location within and other satellite cities in Benue state.

Based on my current experience as an assistant programme officer with Women Environmental Programme and Mexico Nigeria Limited as a distribution manager, I am most certain that I will be of great value to the organization and contribute immensely to the achievement of the organizational goals and objectives.
